Ansonia Clock Co., Brooklyn, N.Y., "Fisherman" swinger mystery clock, eight day time only movement contained in a nickel plated cylindrical case with thick beveled glass, paper Roman numeral dial, blued steel hands, clock case with ornamental band which attaches it to the pendulum, cast pendulum with Centurion in profile, the spelter fisherman in a silver gray finish, on a molded, black enameled cast iron base, c1885
CONDITION:
Clock case and pendulum a bit dirty, with good nickel on the case, and remnants of original lacquer used to imitate gilding, beveled glass good, dial replaced, minute hand with minor scratches, fisherman very good with intact finish, fish loose but present, cast iron base with losses to enamel and some rust, left side, movement running, needs to be set in beat. Early style canister movement case, Ht 22 3/4"
